People sometimes call days outside a predicted fertile window “safe days.” This is misleading if it suggests pregnancy is impossible. Ovulation can shift, including for people who usually have regular cycles.
Fertility awareness is more than an app prediction
Formal fertility-awareness methods use specific rules and may involve observing body signs. They are not equivalent to taking an average of four period dates.
What about the Standard Days Method?
The CDC describes a specific Standard Days Method for people with cycles typically 26–32 days. It is a separate method with limitations and pregnancy risk; this website does not implement it or give contraceptive instructions.
No days in our calendar are marked as guaranteed safe. “Other days” means outside the estimated fertile window, not pregnancy-free.
